MyQuid is operated by Joe Hall Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Scotland. We are committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it to provide you with financial insights.

2. The Data We Collect

To provide the MyQuid service, we collect:

  • Identity Data: Name and email address (via AWS Cognito).
  • Financial Data: Transaction history and account balances (via our Open Banking provider, Finexer).
  • Technical Data: IP address and browser type (via Amazon CloudFront and AWS VPC logs).

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data only when we have a legal basis to do so:

  • Contractual Necessity: To pull your bank data and show it in the app.
  • Legitimate Interests: To improve the MyQuid interface and ensure our AWS infrastructure remains secure.
  • Consent: For sending you optional financial insights or newsletters.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in encrypted Amazon RDS databases located in the London (eu-west-2) AWS Region. We use industry-standard security, including:

  • Secrets Management: Your credentials are never hardcoded.
  • Edge Protection: Traffic is routed through Amazon CloudFront with SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Data Isolation: All financial processing occurs within an isolated Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your data. We only share it with essential service providers:

  • Finexer: To securely connect to your bank.
  • AWS: For hosting and infrastructure services.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal and financial data only for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently erased immediately.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your data. You can also withdraw your Open Banking consent at any time directly through the app settings. To exercise any of your rights, contact us at the address below.
